Who will issue your certificate?

Once you have completed your study with Speciss College and passed the exams, you will be awarded The Chartered Institute of Transport (CILT) International Diploma in Logistics and Transport.

The Institute of Transport was founded in 1919 and granted a Royal Charter in 1926. In 2001 the Institute merged with the Institute of Logistics to form The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. It is the only professional institute granted a Royal Charter ‘to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the study and advancement of the science and art of Transport and Logistics in all its forms’.

The CILT is an international organisation serving the interests of over 30 000 members working in over 100 countries. The Institute offers a three-tier professional qualification structure that deals with all major aspects of Logistics and Transport, following industry best practice. The qualifications are designed for those wishing to enter the sector as well as providing continuous professional development for those already working in the sector.


Entry requirements for this course

Students must have passed the International Certificate in Logistics and Transport.

Alternatively they must have 2 “A” Levels and 5 “O” Levels including English Language and either Maths or Accounts.

You must register as a student member with CILT through the Examinations Officer at Speciss College.

What exams will you write?

Examinations are held at the end of each course. You will register for the examinations with the Examinations Officer at Speciss College.

Please talk to the Exams Officer to find out when fees are due.

When and where are the classes and what are the fees?

Lessons are offered at different times on different campuses, with some lessons being held during the day, and others in the evening or at weekends.

Often the same course can be studied at a variety of different times, so you can choose the one which is more convenient to you.

You’ll get your personal timetable when you register at Speciss College.

Please note that the Chitepo Campus Business School offers a discount to students who register for more than one subject.

What about books and stationery?

You’ll need to bring your own notebooks and writing materials to your classes. For your convenience, we have a range of stationery items at the Speciss bookshops. The list of prescribed and recommend books is available on the website at the address given below. We strongly urge you to buy a copy of the prescribed texts.
