Once you have completed your study with Speciss College and passed the LCCI exams, you will receive the LCCI Level 3 Award in Preparing Financial Statements for a Sole Trader.

Entry requirements for this course

5 “O” Levels, including Accounting. The qualification is also suitable for people with basic book-keeping skills who wish to develop their knowledge and skills at a higher level. It is particularly suitable for those who do accounts for SMEs.

You will study the following three major topics:

  • Principles of Preparing Financial Statements for a Sole Trader
  • Recording Transactions and Making Accounting Adjustments
  • Preparing Financial Statements for a Sole Trader (Trading, Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet)

What exams will you write?

Exams are held in April, June and November each year for all subjects except Customer Service, which is examined in June and November only. Exams are set and marked by LCCI in Britain. You’ll register for the exams with the Examinations Officer at Speciss College.

When and where are the classes and what are the fees?

Lessons are offered at different times on different campuses, with some lessons being held during the day, and others in the evening or at weekends.

Often the same course can be studied at a variety of different times, so you can choose the one which is more convenient to you.

You’ll get your personal timetable when you register at Speciss College.


What about books and stationery?

You’ll need to bring your own notebooks and writing materials to your classes. For your convenience, we have a range of stationery items at the Speciss bookshops. The list of prescribed and recommended books is available on the LCCI website at the address given below. We strongly urge you to buy a copy of the prescribed texts.
